A little Get-Away

Brad and I took the girls to Ross Bridge Resort for a little end of the summer fun! I highly recommend to any of you who need a fun little get away without so many miles. The pool area complete with a very entertaining water slide is wonderful, rooms are top notch, and the casual dining ...very kid friendly and YUMMY too!

Gray trying out the sprinkler before entering the pool.

Aunt Sally brought Maury and Carter....both were precious!
Gray showing Maury how much fun playing with ice can be.

Had not had enough swimming after dinner back for a little more...posed
in front of the waterfall.

Time for a little rest.....so excited we were all going night night together!

Camp at the Penleys

The 2nd year in a row, it is one of Mary Bradford's favorite parts of the summer! Mr.Jamie and Mrs. Melissa host a summer learning camp in their backyard. While learning about the olympics, animals, weather, and caring they also get to experience math science and art. The following is from the last day WET and WILD!

Thanks so much we can't wait for next year!

I caught a fish THIS big!!

Even though it was our first fishing tournament of the season to participate in this year at the country club.....we weren't leaving until we caught the BIG ONE! Daddy caught this one.....then MB made me aware I missed hers it was the BIGGEST! sorry, MB.

Mary Reese let Gray borrow the princess pole. I didn't leave her alone with the hook nor did I bait it. Sweet thing just enjoyed catching all the wet grass that lined the outside of the pond.

Just us Girls

While daddy has been in Anniston with his golf group playing in the Sunny King Classic.....it has been just us girls and we have had such a fun time. Don't get us wrong, we all really missed daddy but it was nice to have just a house full of girls too! We ordered pizza, watched movies, and had a slumber party.... went to the Monaco for Kit Kitteredge; An American Girl (so cute by the way), Rosies, and our new fave store ICING at Bridge street.....went swimming and even managed to all 3 take a few naps together ....one afternoon Gray was playing babies and watching Max and Ruby (episode: Max's birthday for the 150th time...thank goodness for tivo) and I came in to find this:

notice the band-aid...anytime Gray gets a booboo, baby has to have a band-aid too!

Mary Bradford became a sandwich artist (yes we did do a lot of sandwich eating!?) this is one of her masterpieces....Boars Head turkey, Muenster Cheese, light mayo on wheat with pringles and grapes.

I love times like these.....and love even more that they love them too!
We can't wait to see Daddy tonight...not sure if I'll be able to get them in the bed....MB is counting down the hours as we speak!

4th of July

We started the holiday off with a cookout with Gene Gene at the terrace. The girls love to go and visit their great grandmother and are so glad she is so close now!

Next we headed to the Waller's lake house at Smith lake...where there is sure never to be a dull moment. The Murphree family came over for a visit and most who wanted took a boat ride (moms stayed at the dock for a little social time!)....later they invited Mary Bradford to their side of the lake for an afternoon of WATER FUN! She got to tube, jump from an XLG cliff (think it was her fave, maybe not her daddy's), and do their zipline. Thanks Mrs. Andrea and Mr. Jody MB loves to play with her pal Banks...and Mary Reese too!

Thanks to Wesley we got our own private fireworks show. The kids could not have been more excited. Mommy made sure to stay close to bug...pretty sure Gray+Fireworks=RISKY!

Thank you Wallers, Witts, Gantts, and Perrys for another funfilled weekend. We can't wait for another trip......!

Weekend with Allison

We took the girls with us to celebrate my friend Allison's couples shower in Hernando, MS that Brad and I were hosting. There are no words that can describe my friendship with Allison, my very first friend that has remained my best friend from Mississippi State! She and Blake (do not have a pic with all-sorry Blake)are absolutely perfect for one another and I could not be happier for her. The girls came to the shower for a little while and then one of Allisons' friend took them down the street to her house to play. Family, lots of friends, and lots of laughs made the night one to remember. How wonderful most attending live in this precious little neighborhood in Hernando...just 30 minutes from Memphis!
They loved the monogrammed plates from Brad and I that came from Eloise and Henry (check out my link to their blog)....I am pretty fond of them myself.....we all 4 have a set and use them all the time!
Just before the girls left we got a quick pic....long car ride they were still in such great moods! I Think Allison, Mary (her sister), and the rest of the gang had a lot do do with that.....What sweet girls.....so glad they got to share Allison's happy day!
